New Mexico Tech Week (NMTW for short) is a first-of-its-kind, statewide celebration of technology, innovation, and community. From meetups to the flagship TechFest conference, this is a full week of connection, learning, and building the future of tech in the Land of Enchantment.
NMTW is a grassroots movement, built to unify the New Mexican tech ecosystem. All NMTW events are independently-organized, local events curated by and for the New Mexican tech scene.
New Mexico Tech Week is powered by the community. In our first year, organizations closely tied to our mission will host their own events during the week in various venues across the state: workshops, happy hours, panels, demos, and more.
New Mexico has builders, founders, engineers, researchers, and dreamers scattered across organizations, industries, and communities that rarely get a chance to share the same room.
NMTW changes that. One week to break down silos. One week to spark collaborations that don't happen on Slack. One week to remind the world that New Mexico is a serious tech state.
This is year one. Be part of it from the start.
Now in its third year, TechFest is a free, two-day, multi-track conference. As the largest event during NMTW, TechFest is built by the NM Tech Talks collaborative, making it the flagship event to support a community-driven approach for a tech week.
For our first year of NMTW, we are accepting applications to speak upfront and center on the TechFest Community Stage. Submit your proposal for a talk, panel, or demonstration at the event.
Anyone can apply to speak on this stage, and applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by a community of tech industry leaders.
Applications now closed for the 2026 event. Stay tuned for 2027.

Want to speak in front of the community? TechFest has a Community Stage where the community can apply to host a fireside chat, panel, or demo.
Help make history. Join as a volunteer for the largest event, TechFest, and be part of the team making NMTW happen.

Each NMTW event is individually organized. You can RSVP to individual events through this page. Each event will have its own RSVP ticketing and you will need to submit in order to get in.
Most events are free of charge! If you're traveling from out of town, we have a few hotel partners listed at the bottom of this page who will offer a discount.
